christmas tiiiiiiiime is heeeeeeere

i love christmastime, every last commercialized bit of it. i have heard a couple of people comment about how funny they think the target lady commercials were... i wasn't really feeling the target lady, to be honest. i felt like she was a creepier version of the mervyn's "open open open!" lady from back in the day. nathan told me that those were the same commercials target used last year too... i don't remember seeing them last year, but maybe that is just because i found them so un-memorable. anyway, the target lady commercials seemed to stop playing once they started showing this year's new commercials more recently... and the new ones are great. seriously, i would get stupidly excited whenever they'd come on. like this one:





it wasn't until i got on their site to download a few of the songs until i realized that the one above is one of my favorite bands, bishop allen. i guess i was so distracted by how cute the commercial was it didn't occur to me to look at the bottom right hand corner for that information.



and this one is pretty cool too. the dance floor reminds me of the piano from the movie 'big' and also of an art installation i saw at the guggenheim a few years ago. it also sparked a conversation with a certain hot boyfriend about dancing and an occasion at which dancing might occur sometime in the future. fun times.




this one is my favorite. i mean, we all know that the real meaning of christmas is not found under the tree, but watching these kids rip be unable to contain their joy as they are tearing through the wrapping paper gave me the biggest sh*t eating grin EVERY TIME.
